NATaT recently joined the National Governors Association, the National Association of Counties, and others to form Americans Against Double Taxation, a coalition fighting to preserve the state and local tax deduction in tax reform.
Last week, the coalition sent a joint letter to Congressional tax-writers urging them to preserve the state and local tax deduction when pursuing tax reform. “Elimination [of the state and local tax deduction] would effectively increase marginal tax rates for certain taxpayers, shrink disposable income and harm house markets, damaging the U.S. and local economies.”
